It’s all happening at The Rocks with a celebration of The Year Of The Pig being Chinese New Year this weekend and next with The Rocks Lunar Markets. Think cobblestone lane ways, celebrations, food, design and crafts.

I went down myself and there’s all kinds of food down the lane ways as well as jewelry, art and creativity on display.

Some that stand out for me are Mr Bao with their soft Bao goodness, Dumpling overload at Let’s Do Yum Cha, the interesting and creative designs when it comes to cotton Candy at Som Som Candy, Merry Pops Lychee ice cream bars and The Cookout’s amazing BBQ food.

There’s so much more to see and of course there’s the Dragon Dance and exploring The Rocks. If you’re into Designer clothing like I am, there’s T Galleria by DFS or even if you’re wanting to stay over at The Rocks, The Russell Boutique Hotel has some special offers this year.

If you want to check out more, it’s running this Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as next Friday and Saturday (Feb 1st – 10th) between 10am and 10pm at Jack Mundey Place, Playfair Street and George Street, The Rocks.
